My Experience of Learning English in Grade 9 Unit 9

Learning New Vocabulary

During this unit, I learned a lot of new vocabulary related to health and fitness. Using flashcards helped me to memorize the words more easily. I also practiced using the words in sentences to improve my understanding.

Writing a Letter to a Pen Pal

One of the most enjoyable parts of this unit was writing a letter to a pen pal in English. It was a great opportunity to use the grammar and vocabulary that I had learned in a real-life situation. I also received feedback from my teacher which helped me to improve my writing skills.

Group Project

Working on the group project was another highlight of this unit. We had to research and present information about a different health issue. It was a great opportunity to practice our speaking and teamwork skills. We also learned a lot from each other’s presentations.

Overall Thoughts

I found this unit to be very helpful and informative. I improved my English skills through a variety of activities and had fun while doing it. I look forward to continuing to learn and improve my English in future units.
