My Experience in Writing a Vocational English Unit-themed Essay
The Challenge
Writing in a foreign language had always been a daunting task for me. However, as a vocational school student, I knew that learning to write well in English was a crucial skill that could help me in my future career. When our teacher announced that we would be writing an essay based on the theme of our current English unit, I knew I had to try my best.
The Approach
I started my essay by brainstorming ideas related to the theme of the unit. In this case, the theme was “Job Interviews”. I thought about the common questions asked in job interviews, the necessary preparations, the do’s and don’ts, and the importance of making a good impression. Once I had my ideas organized, I started writing my essay. I made sure to use simple language and sentence structures, and I referred back to the unit’s vocabulary and grammar points.
The Result
After completing the essay, I felt a sense of accomplishment and pride. Though it was not perfect, I knew that I had tried my best and had incorporated what I had learned in the unit. When I received my teacher’s feedback, I was pleased to see that I had done well and that my efforts had paid off. Writing this essay gave me the confidence and motivation to continue improving my English writing skills.
Conclusion
Writing an essay based on a vocational English unit theme was a rewarding experience. It allowed me to apply what I had learned in class to real-life situations and helped me improve my writing skills. Though it was a challenge at first, I learned that with proper planning and hard work, I could write a solid essay in a foreign language. I am grateful for this opportunity and look forward to more English writing assignments in the future.
