My Experience in Unit 12 of First-Year English
Ways of Travelling
My favorite method of transportation is by bicycle. It’s not only environmental-friendly, but also good for physical exercise. In this unit, we learned about different ways of travelling, such as by car, train, plane, boat, and bike. I realized that each mode of transportation has its own advantages and disadvantages. For example, travelling by plane is the fastest, but it’s often expensive and can be uncomfortable. On the other hand, travelling by car is more flexible and convenient, but it can also be a source of air pollution.
Travel Experience
Last summer, I took a trip to the beach with my family. This was my first time travelling by train, and I really enjoyed the experience. We saw many beautiful sights along the way, and the train ride was very comfortable. When we arrived at the beach, we rented bicycles to explore the area. It was so much fun and we got to see a lot of things that we wouldn’t have been able to see if we were travelling by car.
Environmental Awareness
Learning about different ways of travelling has made me more aware of the impact that transportation can have on the environment. I realized that some modes of transportation, such as cars and planes, produce a lot of carbon emissions, which can harm the environment. As a result, I have started to make more conscious choices about how I travel. For instance, I try to walk or bike to school whenever possible, and I take public transportation if I need to go somewhere farther away.
In conclusion, Unit 12 of first-year English has taught me a lot about the different ways of travelling and their impact on the environment. It has also inspired me to make more sustainable choices in my day-to-day life.
